Keila and Blake get a house

Last night I dreamed about the future. The dream opens with Keila sitting at her dinner table. She’s not in the townhouse she lives in out here in the real world, but the house is definitely hers- some of the decor and furniture is the same, and Blake’s djembe drum is placed neatly in one corner of the living room area. My husband and I are both here, but I’m in the kitchen talking with Keila while we wait for Hannah to arrive. Blake and Sam (our husbands) are outside, probably messing with their air soft guns. Angel and Christina are not here; they’re probably already in France. While Keila and I are waiting, Meg and Lee show up.

I have only hung out with Lee a few times, but from what I can tell he’s a good guy. I think he’s dating Meg. She’s sweet. Anyway, somehow we all start talking about reading, and inevitably someone brings up Nora Roberts. Why oh why do people read Nora Roberts? I don’t know.

“Nora Roberts is like the BioDome of literature,” Lee says. Meg giggles while kinda ducking behind him like girls do when they are proud of and embarrassed by their men at the same time.

“Except BioDome contains toilet humor, which makes watching it much more entertaining than reading a Nora Roberts book,” I reply… with glee…. :D ***SORRY KEILA AND CHRISTINA***

Here’s the next cool thing that happens. HANNAH HELPS KEILA COOK! Hannah is AFRAID of the kitchen y’all! Keila said she was making lobster and salmon bisque, except it looked like she was just baking salmon to me. She put it in a glass pan with some type of coating on it. Come to think of it, it didn’t actually look like salmon. It looked like chicken. Weird. Keila, do you know what bisque is?

When I woke up it was like 3 AM, and I wanted to write down everything, so I went into our kitchen and got a free notepad I got from Harvest Printers out and started writing. Then my husband woke up and made a phone call. He sounded upset, so I eavesdropped. He was calling amazon.com or something about some stuff he had apparently got me for valentine’s day that was never delivered.

Somehow I ended up having to talk to the people from amazon on the phone, except when i got the phone it wasn’t amazon that I needed to talk to, but Dillard’s. The lady I was talking to was trying to convince me to apply for the Dillard’s credit card; saying I needed to have an account with them before they could ship me my items. I could see a mental picture of her; she looked kind of like Lucy Liu and had long straight brown hair and was wearing a beige business suit. She was getting really frustrated. I was trying to explain that we were trying to get rid of all our credit cards, but she was so persistent I almost wanted to just get the stupid credit card and be done with it. Then I woke up for real.

That’s all. If I dream tonight I don’t know whether I’ll post it or not. Tomorrow’s Sunday and all.

  1. I can tell I’m gonna enjoy this blog! I love dreams! I have a book of mine. Maybe I’ll share some. By the way, I hope in part two of this dream we come to visit from France and get to see their new house!

  2. It’s possible. I do sometimes dream sequels…

BTW I have been learning a bit about dreams, and the last part of this dream (after I thought I woke up) is called a Type 2 False Awakening and is not very common. One psychologist suggests it ‘represents an intrusion into waking consciousness of processes associated with Stage 1 sleep (McCreery)’ and is related to delusions and hallucinations.
